Access Statement For Acorn Apartment 2009

 

Introduction

Our self catering apartment is on the first floor of an apartment block. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.

 

Pre-Arrival

„We have a basic website

„Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, or phone

„The nearest bus stop in the town is 100 metres from the entrance.

„The nearest train station (The Town) is 0.5 miles away; there are accessible taxis at the station

 

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

„There is on street parking with parking permits

„Parking is 150 metres away from the ginnell entrance

„The entrance is reached via the public path

 

Main Entrance

„The ginnel door entrance at the front is 2.05m high, 64.5cm wide. It has a coded lock on the right side of the door, 140cm high (door hinged on the left).

„The path down the ginnel is 12.586m long 85cm wide

„The staircase is two flights to the first floor with two landings in between

There is 15 stairs to the first landing each are 19cm high, 27cm deep, 97cm wide. Landing 1.28sqm a further 3 steps 19cm high 27cm deep 97cm wide up to the second landing approximately 3sqm. There is one step to the left 19cm high 89cm deep 97cm wide they have handrails either side.

 

The Flat:   

„ The door is hinged on the right

„The door is 73.5cm wide inwards opening to a corridor. It has an assisted closer. Key whole 86cm high from the floor.

„There is a step down of 20cm when entering the flat

„The corridor is 92.5cm wide 210cm long and leads to the kitchen, lounge and bathroom, bedroom stairs.

 

Lounge and Dining Room

„Door width 70cm wide to lounge/dining

„The lounge dining area

„oblong Table 74.5cm wide 119cm length (moveable side to side) – legs on each corner, 71cm high

„Free space between table and walls is at least 63cm all around.

„Chairs (moveable) – 4 chairs with padded seats and no arms.

„Bed is movable if more space is required to one side
